Hi folks, When dispatching in v3, one of the biggest annoyances I had was not knowing how long trains are. In External Dispatcher, there’s the train list feature, as well as it showing you which sidings a train fits into. There’s nothing like it in the v3 built-in dispatch board, so I decided to solve the problem myself: I wrote a program which connects to Run 8’s external dispatcher interface and displays a list of all the trains in the world with their lead unit number, destination symbol, length, weight, and speed. You can download it here if you think you’d find it useful. Let me know if there’s anything that would be useful for me to add—no promises I’ll do it, but I’ll certainly consider reasonable additions. I nearly had this done in time for yesterday’s session, but not quite—I wanted to do a little bit more polishing and testing, and then needed to upload the files somewhere.

I had some work I had partly done but not released yet, which I’ve tidied up and released now. The new features are: - An Always On Top option is now available in the View menu.
- Each train shows which territory it is on.
- Trains can be hidden based on their territories.
Note that the territories will only work in socal, because that’s the only area I own, so I don’t know the territory code numbers for other regions. The program should still work in other regions, it’ll just show the territory as Unknown for all trains. You can download it here.

I just released version 1.4.0.0. Notable changes in this version are: - The Roseville region is now recognized (albeit untested).
- A column for HP/t is now present.
- The date/time format can be selected between your system locale format or ISO 8601 format.
- The computer to connect to can now be passed on the command line.
You can download it here.
