Here's what I think I've figured out about LA:
1. WCLB goes to Long Beach, basically Alameda Corridor to disappear for our purposes. Easy. If they ever add Long Beach, extreme confusion will result. 2. WCLA looks like it goes to J-Yard, which is pretty small for the traffic I think it needs to handle. I can't find recent evidence of the WCJY on railpictures, my primary news source for things like this. (Although maybe it shouldn't be.) 4th St yard looks like a better candidate and my guess would be Weeds, but I honestly can't find definitive info about where this train goes.
3. WCCI would logically go to the freight yard next to the CI intermodal facility. I'm now realizing I haven't added any CI intermodal trains on my single-player ops, ever since Mike brought up how under-represented Alhambra Sub traffic is on the SRS server.
Do I have this close to correct? I'm also imagining a time in the not-too-distant future where all of this work is handled by a LB local, picking up and setting out everywhere. Of course, taking 8-10k feet of train (it would likely be BIG) through the heart of Los Angeles and stopping every 5-10 miles seems like operational suicide.

1. Correct 2. WCJY runs to 4th St. and J-Yard and then back to WC. This is mainly according to the Southern Cali Freight Trains book. 3. Correct. I run this into the East Yard at CI. We currently run the LOA33R out of CI because the Los Nietos yard is not modeled in Run8 and instead of adding a 3rd local to Weeds yard, figured it would make more sense to add some more traffic to CofI. 4. The LOQ35 is what supplies Weeds. I believe in real life this is just a hauler but we've turned it into a Turn to get the outbounds out of Weeds and back to WC.

Well LOQ35 is called the Gemoco Hauler here's the it's run and others according to the book.
LOQ35 Gemco Hauler Mon - Sat
LOQ35S (On duty 2000. Can leave between 2130 and 2200, but sometimes waits for congestion at West Colton to clear. Takes the balloon for congestion at West Colton to clear. Takes the balloon track at Pepper Avenue. Moves manifest freight from West Colton to Weeds/East Yard and Gemco in Van Nuys. Carries cars for Oxnard and Guadalupe. Arrives at Gemco between 0400 and 0600, but can as late as 0900 on rare occasion. On Monday has a LOQ35S symbol.)
MWCCI CofI Hauler (Tropicana Shuttle) Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat (On duty 0700. Runs around the balloon track at West Colton about 0845 to 0945, heading west to set out manifest cars for City of Industry, City of Industry UP, and Chino. It also picks up the Tropicana empties for East Yard. Trains can exceed 100 cars in length and are usually over 10,000 tons, mostly loads. Upon arrival, train is switched out by the YCI19 on MWF and YCI26 on Sat into assorted tracks for the various CofI and Chico Locals. Has a Basin Road Crew. If hauling Tropicana cars to East Yard, those arrive East Yard about 1400, departs eastbound about 1600 with loaded Tropicanas for CofI.)
MWCJY J-Yard Hauler aka Colton Crawler Sun, Tue, Thu (On duty 2030. Really a turn, not a hauler. Heads out the balloon track at Pepper to go west. Moves manifest freight, including Chevron loads, from West Colton to 4th Street Yard and J-Yard. Then returns to West Colton with traffic from J-Yard and 4th Street.)
MWCLB Long Beach Hauler Tue-Sun (On duty 1700 (had been 2000. Heads around the balloon track at Pepper to go west. Hauls from West Colton to Long Beach. Makes a set out at the east end of Mead Yard. Makes a set out of PHL cars on the AB lead between Crucero and Gaspur for one of the PHL jobs to pick up. Carries PHL, ECXX dirty dirt, scrap gondolas, and empty wells. Used to arrive Mead about 0030, but probably earlier now.)

All very interesting information, thanks folks!
So it looks like the WCLA/LAWC might have been an SP-era symbol pairing. I symboled my Kaiser train LOQ32, and I think I have that one correct, and from the symbol it would be based out of WC.
At some point I'm going to need to upgrade my computer and dive into LA with the rest of you.
