This morning I killed my southeast forum as I will not be going that route.
I am wondering if there is interest in the following scheme as it may compliment things here.
1. UP Yuma Sub closed to traffic for major reconstruction. Traffic diverted across BNSF trackage to Phoenix connector east of Seligman, including Amtrak Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle.
2. Periodic closure of Donner Pass in winter due to heavy snow. Traffic, including Amtrak California Zephyr, diverted across Mojave to Daggett to Yermo.
Server would be up during times to compliment scheduled operations here. I.E. formal operating sessions would not conflict. Server would run paused clock and mainline running outside of dispatched sessions. Would utilize AI dispatching on Bakersfield, Mojave, Needles, and Seligman panels. Human dispatchers/Yard Masters would be required for Barstow, Cajon, and LA. This reduces dispatching loads on humans, and places human dispatchers where known issues exist with AI. Sessions would probable be either 3 or 4 hour sessions on Saturday nights.
I am currently working with "TheDepot" maps to insure all industries are represented and usable. Working on configuring humps at WC and BAR. Using existing train lists from this server as well as "http://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page" information to construct train list including possible reroutes due to the above listed closures. Will be generating a registry as well.
Just wondering if there is enough interest in my pursuing this project for MP. Some pieces won't be necessary if I am just doing it for single player.

From the Southwest Rail Simulations perspective I would say the following: - I'm trying to help us establish the "normal', and this proposal sounds to me like a variation, which is fine, but I'm not sure we no what "normal" is at this point
Hey, I like the potential scenario related to this, but I think we need to have a normal before we start spinning off scenarios. It's pretty much guaranteed the scenario won't work if the normal doesn't. Sorry to be a dream killer, but in my opinion this would be the initial SRS perspective.
You are obviously free to do what you like, but I question the timing at this point.
Best regards, Mike
