We uncovered what looks like a bug in the LAUPT-area interlocking rules in external dispatcher today (turns out it only affects ED, not F3). I've reported it here.

From what I can gather from the discussion, it sounds like ED behaves prototypically given what exists on the ground in terms of signals and switches, but in real life, one could make a much shorter movement because there are more signals available than are represented in Run8. So what we did in session (go all the way past Yuma Junction) is an option, or alternatively the DS could have used F3 to throw the switches, which works with the train much closer.
