I sure as hell did. After installing the new well cars, I took the opportunity to comb through my single-player symbols to make sure I had the trains filtered correctly. If you're doing the same thing, a photographer by the name of Tim Stevens just submitted a truckload of material at railpictures that has good images with (probably) good symbols identifying them: CLICK HERE.
Sometimes it really helps to have pics. ;-) SYMBOL GEEK WARNING: Also, if you want ultra-current info for UP, they've just released a customer brief for Chicago-area intermodal ops: HERE. Summary: Global 2 will no longer handle internationals, and Global 3 is being idled for all traffic. There's a link to a spreadsheet with service lane changes, from which you can kind of figure out what trains will change. For instance, the ILAG3 will be replaced by the ICIG1 or ICIG4. G3LB (not sure of the train type) will become G4LB. The spreadsheet also shows 8(!) terminals at the Los Angeles port served by UP. It looks like UP collects the traffic at 2 places: LX being a loop of track known as LAXT, which looks to be shared with BNSF, and LB for the ICTF just north of the port. Global Gateway South is also there, right next to the APM terminal (Pier 300), and is the GS symbol. It might be a 3rd place where boxes gather, or it may have been superceded by the LX designation (GS and LX are right next to each other). I'm still trying to figure out the BNSF side of things, although their symbols are more literal.

Hontz, thanks for sharing this. I'm always looking for updated symbols and any information about schedules. Wow the Tim Stevens site with really good pictures is a bonus for sure. I've been to the UP site a few times to download their intermodal service updates. There was a big change back around the start of the year which increased the traffic to/from G4 and southern California. Also UP make a big change at that time in regards to which traffic would flow through Chicago area on rail, and which service lanes would need to be put on the road for transfer from G1, G2, G3, G4 to the CSX or NS terminals.
BNSF I haven't reviewed for a while, but in progress when I get a little time.

The site I'm using to update my BNSF intermodal program is HERE: www.carrtracks.com/FlagStr.htmIt's geared toward traffic coming by the Flagstaff railcam. There's navigation to different pages at the bottom, with up-to-date data on the trains that go by the camera, most of which is handy to us. So I'm using this site and the pictures as cross-reference. And some modeler's license. ;-)
