For a while I have been pondering getting Aline and Waycross and developing a server much like what we have for California. I am wondering if there is interest in this project from among the members here?
At this point I do not envision it running as a 24/7 server as I would have to pull it down anytime I want to run California. That being said I am open to ideas.

I would be interested depending on when sessions were scheduled. My availability has taken a hit lately due to lots of travel, but I think (hope) my time is opening up again.

Possible South East:
I know it has been a while since I have been on. A lot going on in RL. I am thinking about restarting work on a new SouthEast server and wanted to post here to gauge whether or not it is worth my time and expense.
To begin with, I do not currently own either A-line or Waycross. Those would be capital expenditures on my part. I envision a 24 hour server with a paused clock outside of scheduled dispatching windows. Train data would draw from available data from the mid 1980s and 1990s available on wayback machine. Amtrack data would be from 2018 as that is last full set of schedules I have.
Also, since I do not currently have all of the rolling stock or engine packs I am pondering using patreon to help cover some of the cost. Here are my thoughts:
During sessions, anybody could get on and watch.
$1 per month would grant basic access 24 hours a day with a password and train crew status during sessions. 1 vote in administrative decisions put to a vote.
$2 per month would grant dispatcher authority during sessions. 1 vote in administrative decisions put to a vote.
$3 per month would grant administrator access to the work list system on google docs (being able to generate tasks / yard master status). 1 vote in administrative decisions put to a vote.
Using this system, the addition of rolling stock packs and engine packs would be gradual as the income generated would dictate how often I could make a purchase. What does anyone think about this?

My first question to put to the group:
For those who have been viewing my document which can be found at the forum in the post above, obviously the same train needs to be available at all locations. My question is which input vehicle is better, small paragraph where users will have to type the train designation in, or a drop down list where all possible trains will need to be listed (probably alphabetical by railroad)?

Intended form field descriptions have been completed. Please give feedback at my forum. Have I missed any? Are there any that aren't needed and why?

I have hit a stumbling block that has the potential to derail this project. So far, I have yet to find a configuration for my router that allows a connection from outside of my network. Trying to use single port forwarding. Any other ideas on what I can try would be appreciated.

If anyone can help me out. Try to connect at either 71.79.11.160 or 192.168.1.150. Please let me know which one works. I will have an empty southwest server up for about the next 6 hours or so for testing purposes. Thanks.

I am going to let it up over night to see what happens. Hopefully someone comes along and can try to get on. I am using the standard port.

I can’t help you test as I don’t own southeast; however, I can tell you that 192.168 will *not* be the address you want other people to use. That is a private address that will only work within your network. The 71 one is likely your public address.
